We are dedicated to creating spaces in which people can meet other people.

We want to create places where people can have fun, and do something different.

We try to make our events as accessible as we can. – No one turned away due to lack of funds – Large print info sheets – Most of our venues are wheelchair accessible (Although they may not have a bathroom that is wheelchair accessible) Please contact us to confirm. – A stationary table, so that you don’t have to move from seat to seat/table to table. (Please let us know either before or at the event if you would like to use this option) – A “No Pressure to Partake Party” Clause. Suggested by and for shy people (and non-shy people). You can come and check out the event without feeling pressure to play. And if you feel like playing you can play in the ‘note passing game’. (Note passing can be played by all players.) – We try to make our events as fragrance free as we can, and will ask people to leave if they are wearing a lot of perfumes/cologne. – We put on events for a wide variety of age groups/sexualities and genders. *If you have any ideas on how we can make our events more accessible, please contact us.

Three Minutes or Less had it’s first event, It’s A First, March 23rd, 2006.
The idea came from a lack of queer meeting spaces, and the newly single status of the event’s creator. “I had just come out of a 3 year relationship and wanted to surround myself with people who wanted to have fun and meet new people, and hey if I got a few dates out of it, that would be nice.” What resulted was an event that helped people get to know people in a different way. How does Speed Friending/Dating work?

Speed Friending/Dating is a different and fun way to meet new people.

Here’s the break down of how it works:

· You + 20(max) others arrive

· You + 19 (20 people max) arrive at the party and register. The doors open at 7:30pm and speed friending/dating begins at 8:03pm sharp. You can come even earlier for drinks/food.

· You meet with a person for 3 minutes or so and then a sound will go off.

· There is a 1 minute intermission between each meeting so you will have a chance to fill out the special *form. As well as find the next person/spot.

*The Form. The form is where you keep track of who you would like to meet again. There are a few different boxes on this form. (Friend. Date. Other. No Thanks) Fill in the boxes that apply. And place into the box on the table.

· At the end you hand in your form/number tags. Iif you don't hand it in, you don't get your results.)

· 3 Minute or Less, will then process (within 24 hours) the forms.

· People who have matching boxes filled out (for each other) will then get an email.

The email will contain contact info (that you filled out when you registered at the event) of the person who you matched with.

PS: Three Minutes or Less does not use the straight model for speed dating; meaning you will meet everyone playing.

No Pressure To Partake Party Clause.

At Three Minutes or Less we believe that everyone should feel safe and comfortable. This is why we have developed a "No Pressure To Partake Party Clause". This means you can come to the event and you don't have to partake in the speed friending/dating, but can still have some fun.

We have a note passing system. Therefore you can pass notes, or write notes to be emailed later to anyone with a number. So if you are shy, or just show up late (after the game has started) you still can play.

So come with your friends, feel it out before the game begins (8:03) and decide if you want to speed friend/date or just pass notes.
