Queer Speed Friending/Dating Success Story #1

I first met Leanne before QSF/D, but always wanted to be their sleepover buddy. I had a few sleepovers at their house, but never with them. We both ended up at QSF/D and I was so excited. When we got our three minutes to ‘date’ we had an instant connection. I handwrote “Sleepover buddy” on my form. That night we ended up talking… We both put “Sleepover” on our forms! So that very night we had a sleepover and the next night too!

Thank you to everyone who participated in Queer Speed Friending/Dating!

People were laughing and smiling, and having different and unique experiences with others. That’s what it is all about! So we are thinking about doing another Speed Friending/dating party!

We want to thank Frenchie’s Diner on Commercial and Tessa for being so rockin and allowing us to move the party there.
Thank you to Sammy and Inika for doin’ the door. Amy for rocking the whistle and keeping the pace. Leanne and Devin for Late night organizing and matching. Finally, to everyone who posted/re-posted and promoted for It’s A First! We heart all of you!

Our 1st Queer Speed Friending/Dating night.

Come out and meet available folks who want to meet people and have fun. It’s A First! is dedicated to those of us who’s genders and/or sexualities don’t quite fit in one or two boxes.
